Koda & Joe Puppy News - Due: July 28th, 2008
07/10/2008:
I felt the puppies move today. Koda is getting her “don't touch me” attitude towards the others, especially the other girls.
She is forever at my feet, knowing I’ll be there for her.
Her appetite is has gotten almost voracious….she never eats this much!
She is definitely ‘beefing’ herself up for her puppies. She is on her vitamins every other day now.
We can’t wait to see what she and Joe will produce this time, their puppies are just so amazing!
07/13/2008:
Koda is beginning to slowly lose the hair on her belly. Her teats have developed, no milk yet.
As I said before she is not as big as she was with her last litter, which was 8 puppies.
Just 15 days to go! (give or take a day or two)
07/18/2008:
Koda’s milk has come in & her belly is almost bare of hair. That puts her right on time for her due date. Her belly has also blossomed bigger than we expected. The pups are jumping around quite vigorously now. We cant wait to see what surprises this litter holds in store for us this time!
07/20/2008:
Koda is really bigger than we expected. She is growing bigger and bigger by the day. She really loves to fool us with her litters. The pups are all over, jumping and kicking. If she does have her pups early….we don't see them being born earlier than the 26th……..but she is still right on track for the 28th.
She has just started nesting and cleaning.
We introduced her to the ‘new & improved’ whelping room and she took right to it. Now she wants to be in there all the time.
To all ya’ll on our mailing/waiting list….you will get the first notification and pictures of Koda’s new born pups as it happens.
Koda has to be the very best example of a female Siberian Husky EVER. I will say I give no credit of that to her ‘MBIS/BISS AM/CAN CH.’ heritage. There is no arguing the fact that her parents produced a beautiful girl, but, she was socially inept when we first brought her home. Only by our continued loving, cuddling and training did she finally come around to be the fantastic Sibe she is today.
She is extremely quiet, very well behaved, & extraordinary in all ways.
Koda, when in full coat, has a very thick, medium length, light Silver/White coat.
Joe is not only the Alpha male of the pack, but also the biggest baby, wanting to get a ton of attention.
Joe is the perfect example of what a male Sibe should be. His exceptional Wolf/Grey thick medium length coat, his incredible structure & stance, perfect natural known personality & his complete loyalty to us makes him amazing in all ways.
Koda’s litters have always surprised us, now that she has been mated to Joe a few times, there’s even more surprises ahead.
